Watch out Batman because this might be the best comic based movie yet. Bob Downey 2 plays Tony Stark, a rich playboy arms dealer who gets kidnapped by terrorists who want him to build them a new weapon. Insted he builds a suit of iron and makes his escape. While Stark is captive he sees weapons his company made and decides to fight evil. Yes he becomes IRON MAN. Great effects, good acting from Bob Downey Duce, Jeff Bridges and Gwyneth Paltrow and good directing from Jon Favreau. This here be good entertainment folks. This is Marvel Comics first in-house movie and their off to a good start. The real test will be later when their second movie, Hulk comes out. Marvel has Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain American and The Avengers ready to come out in the next couple of years. Iron Man is a great start to the summer blockbuster season. Iron Man is a little over 2 hours and other than some blatent product placement is good family fun. CD note: Since Elvis Hitler disbanded my favorite band now is The Old 97s. Their new CD “Blame It On Gravity” comes out May 13th. If you like cow punk music, buy their entire catalogue. You wont regret it. After Indy Jones I’ll have my 1/2 year best/worst list.
