Many years ago I was not a fan of this show, but, and yes I have a big but, this movie did not disappoint this non fan. Wait a minute that makes no sense. Me like o.k. Thats the eloquence I’m looking for. Steve Carell plays Maxwell Smart, an analyst with a secret Government group called Control. Their job is to stop the evil doings of Kaos, an international group of bad guys with bad accents. This movie is like my early childhood diagnosis, schizophrenic. With chanting, meditating and strong doses of pharmaceuticals I’m much better. At least Harvey Dent thinks so. One minute Smart is brilliant, the next He’s a incompetent buffoon. One minute this is a comedy, then an action film then a slow building romance. Overrated looking Anne Hathaway plays Agent 99, a good Agent who gets stuck with Smart after Control headquarters gets attacked. Dwayne “The Crock” Johnson, a mysteriously shrinking former pro wrestler plays the loved Agent 23. I guess humans shrink when they cut back on steroid souffles. Anywhat, Kaos wants to nuke L.A. so Smart and 99 go fighting and bumbling around the world trying to stop them.Yea I know, lame and obvious, but a few laughs make Get Smart a middle of the road movie. Alan Arkin, Terence Stamp and a few cameos co-star. A little long at almost 2 hours but worth a rent on D.V.D. Speaking of D.V.D’S heres some to avoid at all costs: Otis-Automaton Transfusion- Ice Crawlers and Nightmare Man. Heres some to checkout: The Onion Movie- Outlaw- In Bruges- The Signal and The Assassination of Jesse James. Next: Hancock
